In order to ensure durability and longevity, we have made the decision to incorporate steel components in all products designed to be used with ropes for climbing. Steel is highly resistant to wear caused by rope friction, burrs, and sharp edges, thus extending the lifespan of the ropes. Critical parts prone to abrasion have been reinforced with steel inlays. The use of aluminum helps to keep the equipment lightweight yet strong.

The Giga Jul is a versatile belay device that is both lightweight and durable, thanks to its innovative hybrid construction of aluminum and steel. The main body of the Giga Jul is crafted from lightweight aluminum, while high-wear areas such as the friction channels are made from sturdy stainless steel. This marks another chapter in our ongoing Steel Story.

By simply sliding the green tab, the Giga Jul can switch between assisted braking tuber and standard tuber modes. It features a small eyelet for easy attachment of a carabiner when bringing up your climbing partner. Suitable for double and twin ropes ranging from 7.1 to 10.0mm in diameter, the Giga Jul boasts an intelligent hybrid design that combines ultra-light aluminum with abrasion-resistant stainless steel.
